Anna-Leena Asikainen is an economist, working for the Projects Directorate within the EIB. Since 2016, she has worked with assessing RDI and circular projects promoted by large corporates and SMEs. She is also contributing to the development of the Bank’s circular policies and eligibility criteria as well as raising awareness on lending to CE projects. Prior to EIB, she worked as a researcher at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology. Her empirical research focused on innovation from economics, management and policy perspectives. Anna-Leena holds a doctoral degree in economics from the University of Helsinki.
