Áslaug Arna Sigurbjörnsdóttir was appointed Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation in Iceland in November 2021. She was previously the Minister of Justice between 2019 and 2021. Born in 1990, she is the youngest woman in the history of the Icelandic Republic to be appointed minister and the youngest minister of Justice ever appointed in world history.
