Patrick Schröder

Senior Research Fellow, Chatam House

Patrick Schröder is a Senior Research Fellow in the Environment and Society Programme of Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs. He specializes in research on the global transition to an inclusive circular economy with a specific focus on collaborative opportunities between key countries, closing the investment gap and building an evidence base for trade in the circular economy. A new effort that he helps coordinating is the “Global Roadmap for an Inclusive Circular Economy” initiative that was initially presented during the Stockholm+50 conference in June 2022. Patrick has a PhD in Environmental Studies from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. In addition to his work at Chatham House he is doing part-time PhD research on circular regenerative design at the University for the Creative Arts, UK.
