Jón Ásgeirsson

Executive VP, Strategy, CI & Resource Park, HS Orka

Jón Ásgeirsson joined HS Orka in March 2020 as Executive Vice President of Strategy & Resource Park. Previously, he worked at Rio Tinto Aluminium for over 20 years; first in domestic operations followed by over 10 years with European and global responsibilities in sales and marketing, procurement and business development. Before joining HS Orka he also advised international companies on transformations. Jón is a member of various boards as well as chairman of the Red Cross in the capital region of Reykjavík. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Iceland and a master´s degree in Process Engineering from the University of Stuttgart.
