Founder, Chairman, Author and Public Speaker, Iceland Ocean Cluster

Dr. Thor Sigfusson is the founder and chairman of the Iceland Ocean Cluster, Iceland Eco-Business Park, and 100% Fish. Dr. Sigfusson’s PhD research focused on the personal networks of entrepreneurs and how they developed these networks. The research led him to establish a network of ocean entrepreneurs with a mission to create value through more collaboration.

The Iceland Ocean Cluster was formally established in 2011 and has received international recognition for being an incubator in marine-related industries and for enlightening interest in better utilization of marine products in a sustainable way. Today, Dr. Sigfusson and the Iceland Ocean Cluster have helped establish multiple like-minded clusters in the US and Europe, all with the aim of creating value from byproducts of fish.
