Dr. Johannes Daae

Head of Development, Grønt Punkt Norge

Dr. Johannes Daae is Head of Development in Grønt Punkt Norge (Green Dot Norway), a non-profit extended producer responsibility organisation for packaging in Norway. He is also associated professor at the institute of Product Design at OsloMet - Oslo Metropolitan University. Moreover he is a member of the scientific committee of the International Panel of Behaviour Change IPBC. His background is as a product designer with a MSc in Design for Interaction from Delft University of Science and Technology (TUDelft), and a PhD in Design for Sustainable Behaviour from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). After a career both as interaction designer and environmental consultant, he now focuses on optimising the circular material flow of packaging materials in Norway. To achieve this, it is necessary that the packaging is designed to both increase the likelihood for the end user to source separate it correctly (design for source separation) and to optimise it for sorting and recycling in industrial processes.
