Prof. dr. Jacqueline Cramer

Prof. dr. Jacqueline Cramer is professor in sustainable innovation and strategic advisor of the Utrecht Sustainability Institute at Utrecht University. Moreover she is member of the Amsterdam Economic Board and functions as the ambassador of the circular economy of the Metropole region Amsterdam. Before she was Minister of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment for the Labour Party (February 2007 – February 2010).
Prof. dr. Jacqueline Cramer is actively involved in sustainability issues since the mid 1970s. She started her career as an associate professor at the University of Amsterdam (1976- 1989), then she worked as senior researcher at the Centre ‘Strategy, Technology and Policy’ of TNO (1989-1999; from 1995-1999 fulltime as internal consultant 2 1/2 years at Philips and next at Akzo Nobel) and since 1999 she is director of the consultancy firm ‘Sustainable Entrepreneurship; strategy and innovation consulting’. She worked closely together with more than 200 companies on the integration of sustainability in the business strategy. Furthemore she worked as part-time professor in the field of business and environment since 1990.
